Under Tile

Under tile heating can be installed on any concrete floor when building or renovating. 80% of the floor area must be covered for economical heat.

The element is a slim cable, thickness less than 2 mm, which is installed on the concrete slab directly under the tiles. The element is when covered with mesh and screed. After tiling and the thermostat is fitted, warmth can be felt within an hour.

Heating formula:

Calculate wall to wall area in square meters. Eg : Bedroom 5.00 x 5.00 = 25 sqm 25sqm x 80 Watt per sqm = 2000 Watt Element is required

Important: Cold rooms, high ceilings or open plan area must be calculated at 100 Watts per sqm for economical heat.

Under Carpet

Under carpet heater can be installed when laying new carpets or carpets being replaced. The heater is a foil base mat, which is installed between the underfelt and the carpet. A minimum of 1000gsm underfelt should be used to prevent downward heat loss. Under carpet heater are ready made foil mats which come in different sizes, from small standard units to bedsets which fits around a standard double bed. Warmth can be felt within 30 minutes of switch-on.

Under Screed

Under screed elements is installed just before the topping of the floor is installed. These elements are mostly used when floor are left screeded, and the floors are epoxy. A thermostat with capillary sensor inserted under the floor is essential with this system, to regulate the floor temperature.

Under Laminate

Under laminated heaters can be installed by either foil mats, which must cover as much of the floor space as possible, or a under screed element which must be grinded into the topping of the floor. When using the foil mats a good quality underlay must be used to prevent downwards heat loss. A thermostat with capillary sensor inserted into the floor is essential with this system, to regulate the floor temperature and protecting the laminated flooring.

Thermostats

A wide range of thermostats are available and give you complete control over your heating. All thermostats can be set (locked) inside, for the protection of children and overheating and must be done by the installer. A red LED indicates when heating is on, and ambient temperature operation 0/+50 degrees Celsius

Water Under Floor Heating

Home Heating recently started with a new concept of heating which are water heating systems. An alternative way of heating your home to electrical under floor heating. The products we use are ISO9001 compliant and are the most cost effective way of heating your home.

Pipes:
The pipes are laid into the floor during construction phase. A good insulation in the concrete slab must be used to prevent downwards heat loss. It has an oxygen resistant layer, and have an life expectancy of 20 years.

Manifolds:
The manifolds are a series of valves connecting the pipes to the different rooms and controls the temperature of different rooms by opening and closing.

Thermostats:
The temperatures of the rooms are controlled with thermostats. When the temperature drops below a set temperature, the thermostat will open the water circuit to allow water to circulate through the pipes and heat the floors. A central touch thermostat (touch screen) is also available which controls all the heating.
